This study was done on the factors that determine the intention of the engineering students to
become entrepreneurs. The study was done through a survey that was administered to 125
engineering students at Altinbaş University, The questionnaire was administered. The data
obtained was then analyzed using both correlation and multiple regression analysis to arrive at
the intended results. The results showed that there is moderate relation between entrepreneurship
education offered at university levels and the intention of students to become entrepreneurs. The
finding also concluded that there is a moderate positive relationship between supportive
environment and intention of students to become entrepreneurs. The results of the analysis also
showed that there is a moderately positive relationship existing between entrepreneurial quality
and intention to become entrepreneurs among engineering students. The research them implied
that in order for student to become entrepreneurs in the future after studies, there is need for
them to be taught entrepreneurship education at the universities, there is need for the parents to
instill the entrepreneurial qualities in them from the early stages of their lives, and also there is
need for the government, the community and other stakeholders to offer a conducive supportive
environment for entrepreneurship for students to be able to create their own businesses.
