dc.description.abstractGözbebeği boyutunun farklı türde duygusal uyarıcılar sırasında ve sonrasında ayırt edilecek derecede değişim gösterdiği gösterilmiştir. Kişi olumsuz bir uyaran ile karşılaştığında gözdeki pupil boyutunda genişleme, olumlu bir uyaran ile karşılaştığında ise pupil boyutunda daralma meydana gelmektedir. Bu bilgilerden yola çıkarak bu tez çalışmasında, göz hareketlerinden emosyon durumunu tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada IAPS (uluslararası affektif resim sistemi)'den yararlanılarak, 20 adet olumlu, 20 adet olumsuz ve 20 adet nötr olmak üzere toplamda 60 adet uyaran fotoğraf seçilmiştir. Göz hareketleri takip cihazı ile 13 gönüllü öğrenciden göz hareketleri verisi toplanmıştır. Deney sonucunda katılımcılara ait, farklı tip görüntülerde pupilin yeri (x,y) ve çapları tespit edilmiş, pupilin, koordinatların hangi uyaranda ne kadar süre kaldığı bilgisi hesaplanmıştır. Ulaşılan bu verilere çeşitli sınıflandırma teknikleri uygulanmış ve k-NN (k-en yakın komşu algoritması) sınıflandırma yönteminde %68'lik bir başarıya ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, sınıflandırma da elde edilen başarıdan yola çıkarak, kişinin gözbebeği'nin olumlu veya olumsuz uyaranlara karşı verdiği tepkinin belli bir takım fizyolojik farklılıkları olduğu ortaya çıkmış, bu farklılıklar rakamlar ile gösterilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractPupil size variations due to different types of emotional stimuli were shown to have discriminative characteristics. Pupil dilates when a negative type of stimulus is presented to a person, and pupil size decreases due to a positive stimulus. In the concept of this thesis, it is aimed to inestigate the emotional state of a subject based on eye movements. International Affective Picture System was used to define 60 stimuli which are grouped as neutral, positive and negative emotions each having 20 images. Eye tracker is used to collect eye movements data from 13 volunteer students. As a result of the data collection procedure, pupil locations on the different stimuli, pupil sizes and fixation time values were computed. Several classification techniques were applied in order to distinguish the type of stimulus presented to the subjects and the best accuracy (68%) was found for k-NN. Finally, it has been shown that the physiological parameters such as pupil size and eye movements data can be used to discriminate the responses given to poisitive or negative type of stimulus.en_US
