dc.description.abstract | The explains what Value Engineering is and how it is used in building projects in Baghdad, Iraq. It gives a description, history, goals and objectives, research, and an explanation. This section explains what Value Engineering is for building projects in Baghdad, Iraq. From 2009 till now, when the world economy went into a recession, the building industry in Iraq has had to deal with a lot of problems. Businesses today have to deal with a lot of competition. Because of stopped projects, some companies lost almost all their business. It was a world event that no one expected, especially considering how much Iraq has changed in the last three to five years. Even though customers' needs are growing, and revenue and job losses are expected for 2009 till now, there are ways to stay competitive. These include revaluating business processes, branching out into other areas, and adopting new, more efficient technology. Between 2000 and 2021, Iraq's building business grew quickly. Even though the economy is bad right now, the Baghdad Urban Planning Council has plans for "major new initiatives through 2025". Value Engineering is new to the building industry and is not often used in Iraq. Value engineering will become more important in Iraq as building costs change, energy supplies become more limited, and the market becomes more competitive. The Baghdad Urban Development Authority put out new rules for building. | en_US |
