dc.description.abstractSheet metal is an extensively utilized material in various daily applications due to its versatility. Researchers have demonstrated a keen interest in exploring different aspects of metal sheets, including bending, and cutting techniques. The objective of this research is to conduct a comprehensive design and analysis of a compound die, which is widely used in the sheet metal manufacturing industry. The study will involve selecting a specific product from the market with defined specifications, followed by creating a detailed SOLIDWORKS drawing of the chosen product. Mathematical equations will then be utilized to design the die, determining the optimal thickness for each component while considering the impact of cutting forces on die parts. The function of each die component will also be elucidated. Subsequently, the complete die design will be realized using SOLIDWORKS software, and a finite element analysis will be performed using the ANSYS Workbench software to ensure its structural integrity, where the maximum stresses will be calculated on it, as well as total deformations, safety factor, and maximum elastic strain, as well as its life.en_US
