Öğe Assessment of selected European and Asian countries Covid-19 statuses using Entropy and MAUT methods(2021) Bolelli, MuratPurpose of this study is to assess selected European and Asian countries COVID-19 statuses by using Entropy and Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) Multi Criteria Decision Making methods. Data for the research is collected from Our World in Data databases as of April 15th, 2021. In line with the literature, fourteen criteria are selected to make the assessment. Entropy method is used for objectively weighting the criteria that returned following order: population density (15.6%), people fully vaccinated per hundred (12.1%), total tests per thousand (10.2%), diabetes prevalence (8.9%), positive rate (8.5%), cardiovascular death rate (8.3%), total deaths per million (7.3%), people vaccinated per hundred (6.1%), total cases per million (5.2%), hospital beds per thousand (4.7%), nurses and midwives per thousand (4.1%), stringency index (3.4 %), medical Dr. per thousand (3.1%) and share of the population that is 65 years and older (2.6%). After processing countries by using MAUT method with the criteria weights obtained, first five countries are found to be Bahrain, Serbia, Slovakia, Israel and Slovenia, last five countries are Malaysia, Norway, Japan, Finland and South Korea. Implications of the results are discussed and future research areas are suggested.Öğe Behind the Youtube addiction and online stickiness.Does fear of missing out count?(2024) Durmuş, Beril; Ekizler, Hüseyin; Bolelli, MuratAs social media has evolved into a predominant aspect of daily life, with over 5 billion users globally, understanding the motivations behind user engagement is essential. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between loneliness, self-esteem, FoMO (Fear of Missing Out), YouTube addiction, and online stickiness concepts. This study hypothesizes that self-esteem and loneliness significantly affect FoMO, which in turn influences YouTube addiction and online stickiness. Data were collected from Turkish adults using an online survey tool with convenience sampling method. Confirmatory Factor Analysis, correlation, and path analyses were conducted to test the research hypotheses. The findings indicate positive and significant correlations, as well as the effect of self-esteem on FoMO. Additionally, loneliness was found to be negatively correlated with FoMO Social Experience and positively correlated with FoMO Rewarding Experience, whereas no significant effect of loneliness on both dimensions was found. FoMO Social Experience and FoMO Rewarding Experience were positively correlated with YouTube addiction, and FoMO Social Experience had a significant effect on YouTube addiction. Finally, YouTube addiction is strongly correlated with online stickiness, and its effect on it is significant. The implications of the results are discussed, and future research areas are suggested.Öğe Çeviklik kriterleri ve TOPSIS yöntemi kullanılarak tedarikçi seçimi: İklimlendirme sektöründe gerçekleştirilen bir uygulama(2022) Bolelli, Murat; Reisoğlu, AlperBu çalışmanın amaçları, belirsizlik altında dış çevrede oluşan değişikliklere hızlı yanıt verebilme kabiliyeti olarak tanımlanan çeviklik kavramı bileşenlerinin, tedarikçi seçim sürecinde kriter olarak kullanımının incelenmesi ve TOPSIS yöntemi ile uygulamaya yönelik bir model geliştirilmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırmanın uygulaması iklimlendirme sektöründe yapılmış olup metal işlem ve plastik enjeksiyon parçalarının yurt içinde üretimi için uygun tedarikçi seçimi konusu ele alınmıştır. Tedarikçiler, Sharifi ve Zhang’in Örgütsel Çeviklik Modeli’nde (2001) yer alan çeviklik yetenekleri ve kriterleri baz alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonuçları TOPSIS yöntemi ile analiz edilmiş, metal işlem ve plastik enjeksiyon parça tedarikçilerinin çeviklik performansları ayrı ayrı hesaplanmış ve alternatifler sıralanmıştır. Bulgular: Sonuç olarak, çeviklik kriterlerini ve TOPSIS yöntemini kullanan modelin, tedarikçi seçiminde kullanılabileceği anlaşılmıştır. Çalışmanın bir diğer çıktısı da çeviklik yetenekleri baz alınarak değerlendirilen tedarikçilerin geliştirilmesi gereken yönlerinin tespit edilmesi olmuştur. Özgünlük: Bu çalışmanın literatürdeki diğer çalışmalara göre özgün yanları, metal şekillendirme ve plastik enjeksiyon sektörlerinde hizmet veren tedarikçi çeviklik skorlarını ölçümlemesi, iki farklı sektöre ait tedarikçilerin çeviklik skorlarını tek bir çalışmada ölçümlemesi ve çeviklik tabanlı tedarikçi seçimini iklimlendirme sektöründe uygulamasıdır. Ayrıca, bu çalışma çevikliğin verimlilik ile bağlantısının ortaya konulması açısından literatürdeki diğer çalışmalardan ayrılmaktadır.Öğe Dark Triad, Motivation to Achieve Power and Social Value Orientation: A Study from Türkiye(2024) Bolelli, Murat; Ekizler, HüseyinPrevious studies on Social Value Orientation (SVO) have identified certain predictors of the concept such as personality traits, values and experiences. Since motivation to achieve power and Dark Triad constructs share common predictors with SVO, a natural link between them is assumed. Although SVO, power and Dark Triad are theoretically aligned, research integrating all of them is scarce. Hence, first purpose of this study is to examine the effects of motivation to achieve power on SVO and second purpose is to examine the effects of Dark Triad on motivation to achieve power. Data for the research is collected from white collar employees of the companies operating in Turkiye with an online survey using convenience method for sampling. CFA is performed to confirm the scales and examine their factor structures. The goodness of fit indices indicated an acceptable model fit. Path analysis is performed to examine the hypothesized structural model for effects of dark triad on motivation to achieve power. Results indicated narcissism has a significant and positive effect, Machiavellianism has a significant and negative effect on motivation to achieve power. On the other hand, psychopathy is not found to have a significant effect on motivation to achieve power. Logistic regression analysis is conducted to examine if motivation to achieve power effect likelihood of occurring different types of social value orientation. Results suggested otherwise. Overall, this study contributes to the literature by examining interrelations between SVO, Dark Triad and power using a sample from Türkiye. Results highlights the effects of Dark Triad on motivation to achieve power. However, absence of the effect of power concept on SVO calls for further research.Öğe THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL ON BURNOUT: MODERATING EFFECT OF LOCUS OF CONTROL(2022) Bolelli, Murat; Ekizler, HüseyinPurposes of this research are to examine the effect of psychological capital on burnout and moderating effect of locus of control on the relationship between them. Data for the research is collected through questionnaire surveys using convenience sampling method. 461 forms are collected, after sorting and removing inconsistent and missing responses 409 usable questionnaires remained. To measure variables, Work Locus of Control Scale (WLCS) developed by Spector (1988), Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ) developed by Luthans et al., (2007) and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) is used. Following the reliability analyses which showed all the constructs are reliable and consistent, multiple regression analyses are conducted using research variables. Results indicate that self-efficacy has a significant and positive effect on all dimensions of burnout, optimism and resilience has a negative effect on emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimensions of burnout, all PsyCap components has a significant and positive effect on reduced personal accomplishment and external LoC is found to moderate the relationship between PsyCap and burnout. Implications of the results are discussed and future research areas are suggested.
