Özet
This article examines the first 10 years (2005-2015) of the membership negotiations between Turkey and the European Union. The main reason for examining this period is that it covers the initial negotiations and the most recent period of the possible membership of Turkey in the EU. This article includes a brief history of the negotiations, the decision to initiate the negotiations, and the initial negotiations. In addition, the pace of the negotiations are evaluated and the future of the negotiations are predicted based on the assessment of the current stage in the negotiations.
