dc.description.abstractAmaç: Obezite ile gestasyonel diabetes mellitus (GDM) ve gebeliğe bağlı glukoz intoleransı (GBGI) arasındaki ilişki çeşitli çalışmalarda ortaya konmuş olmasına rağmen, başlangıç kilosu düşük veya gebelik süresince fazla kilo alımı olmayan bir grup hastada da GDM/GBGI riskinin fazla ola-- bileceği öne sürülmüştür. Bu çalışmada, gebelikte kilo alımı ile GDM arasında ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Ocak 2015--Aralık 2015 tarihleri arasında kliniğe başvuran 19-- 39 yaş arası 364 gebe üzerinde yürütülen retrospektif kohort çalışmasına göre, tüm gebelere 24-- 28. gebelik haftasında 50 oral glukoz tolerans testi (OGTT) uygulandı. Eşik glukoz değeri 140 mg/dL kabul edildi ve eşik değeri aşan sonuçları olan gebe kadınlara saatlik 100 OGTT uy-- gulandı. Bulgular: Gebelik boyunca vücut ağırlığında kaydedilen ortalama artış 15,1:52 kg ola-- rak hesaplandı. Bu değere göre gruplar belirlendi: Grup (n=75)<11 kg alımı; Grup (n=243) 11--20 kg alımı; Grup (n=46)>20 kg alımı. Vücut ağırlığındaki artışın daha az olduğu gru-- bunda, diğer gruplara göre GDM oranı anlamlı derecede yüksek bulundu (%18,6, %3,2, %4,3, p<0,07). Sonuç: Gebelikte kilo alımı ve GDM ilişkisini araştıran bazı çalışmalarda, bu iki faktör arasında pozitif korelasyon saptanmasına rağmen, çalışmamızda fazla kilo alımının, gestasyonel diyabet gelişme riskini artırmadığı, hatta az kilo alan grupta daha yüksek oranda GDM görüldüğü saptanmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjective: The relationship between Obesity and gestational diabetes or glucose intolerance has been well established. Recently, it has been suggested that low weight gain during preg-- nancy may pose risk for gestational diabetes or glucose intolerance. The present study aims to determine whether weight gain during pregnancy is associated with gestational diabetes. Material and Methods: The retrospective cohort study reviews 364 pregnant women of 19-39 years who were admitted to private hospital in Istanbul during ]anuary 2015--December 2015. Each pregnant woman underwent 50 oral glucose challenge test. The pregnant women who had first hour glucose concentration &gt;140 mg/dL took the 100 oral glucose tolerance test. Results: Study groups were defined according to the mean weight gain of participants during pregnancy (15.1:52 kg). Group included 75 women who gained &lt;11 kg during pregnancy while Group consisted of 243 women who had weight gain of 11--20 kg weight and Group included 46 women who had weight gain &gt;20 kg. When compared to Group and Group C, gestational diabetes was sig-- nificantly more frequent in Group (32%, 43%, 18.6%, p&lt;0.07). Conclusion: positive cor-- relation between weight gain and gestational diabetes has been well established. In our study, consistent with some recent reports, weight gain did not alter the risk of gestational diabetes. On the contrary, gestational diabetes was significantly more frequent in patients who had lower weight gaın.en_US
