Robotic arms have been used in the various sectors of the manufacturing industry over recent decades due to their many advantages such as high precision and cost-effectiveness. To minimize human errors and speed up design processes, modeling and simulation tools are frequently employed in the design and optimization phases. One of the goals of the design phase is to determine the material type of the robot arm to survive varying loads applying stress analysis. In this paper, a spot welding robotic arm is designed using three different materials such as copper alloy, aluminum, and titanium and its static structure is analyzed in case of the spot welding (SW) robotic arm exposed to various loads such as 3900 N, 4000 N, 4400 N, and 5000 N that the actuators are applied to the upper tip of the spot welding gun by using ANSYS WORKBENCH based on measurements of maximum shear elastic strain, equivalent elastic strain, equivalent stress, and total deformation. The results obtained for different materials exposed to various forces are compared with each other. The overall deformation and maximum shear elastic strain of the robotic arm for spot welding appears to grow as the load on the spot-welding tool rises. The total deformation of the robotic arm for spot welding in the case of working on copper alloy material is the smallest compared to working on aluminum and titanium material from the total deformation viewpoint.en_US
